One Man

Robert Soar is primarily a background artist and camera model although he has played featured speaking roles in student productions. He lives with His Dog on Hayling Island, four miles east of and thirty years behind Portsmouth. This is no barrier to working as excellent road and rail links allow easy access to Central London, major film and television studios around the capital and locations in an arc from Essex, through Birmingham to Cardiff. His Dog is also a seasoned traveller, equally at home in a car or on a bus or train.

Rob has had a varied career, most of which involved flying over Great Britain (aerial photography) or driving to locations around the UK (computer installation). Other activities included driving goods vehicles, factory assembly work, running a dive boat and accepting any work offered by agencies. Retired after enjoying an NHS sponsored quintuple heart bypass he turned his attention to SA work in July 2018. 

Improv skills, honed through work as a mystery shopper and latterly as a Santa (with a very critical audience), have proved valuable as has the wide variety of odd skills picked up through a long and diverse career. He has worked on feature films, for TV, as a photographic model and, pro bono, for several student productions
